ABOUT Eric Chan
I was born in Hong Kong and spent my teenage years in playing badminton, listening to music, photography and pencil drawing, generally leading to a healthy life.

At 16, I was a Classical Guitar Player
I started to pick up my first nylon guitar when I was 16. I learned to play simple chords & fingering pattern myself. Later, in the following years, I started to receive formal classical guitar training, and I won the Grand Prize in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival Classical Guitar Senior Solo in 1997. After 9 years in 2006, i won the "Silver Prize" & "The Best Individual Performance Award" in "SoundBase Festival 2006" Acoustic Band Competition.

I played some classical, folk, fingerstyle and some pop music at that time, and I also composed my own songs with my one-man band (i.e. my computer).
I do like Blues and Latin Rock and acoustic fingerstyel, I am influenced by some great guitarists like Kotaro Oshio, Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, Eagles, Gary Moore, SRV, Johnny Winter…. and other countless players like them.

Good Time with EC&BREEZEBAND
I formed my first cover band EC&BREEZEBAND in 2001. As an amateur band, we played in some live shows like Music in the City at the Harbour City, IT Mondena Bar, Tomlee Music Fest, California Red LM Bar, Big Echo Wave Bar, MusicRoom, 48st Chicagoblues and more… and we had our last great show in Standard Charter Marathon Expo 2004.

My main axe is a PRS Santana 1 - the strings from bottom 046 to top 010, it goes through AC & RC booster - Marshall BB2 or Ibanez TS9 - Line6 delay - to Marshall Tube Amp with 2x12 and 60 watts out-put.

Acoustic ~
I major use Guild JF30 with Fishman Ellipse Blend Pickup & Trylor 315CE with Fishman Ellipse Blend Double Pickup. - Roland AC60 acoustic amp. the strings from bottom 056 to top 012

LATIN ROCK BAND - RAZONES
In early 2004, I form my dream Latin Rock Band - RAZONES!!
We did some gigs and function in Hark Rock Cafe, some bars & pub, I hope that we will be one of the best local Latin Rock Bands in Hong Kong in the future!
